How old do I need to be to attend BUKU?

PLEASE NOTE THAT BUKU IS 18+ ADMISSION ONLY WITH VALID GOVERNMENT ISSUED PHOTO ID CHECKED AT THE GATE! No valid government issued photo ID = No Entrance. You must be 18 or older with valid government issued photo ID at the time of your entrance to the festival to enter.

When does BUKU start and end?

Gates open at 2PM CT, and music ends at 1AM CT.

What are your box office hours?

Is BUKU ADA Accessible?

How do I register my wristband?

It is mandatory that ALL patrons register their wristband! Please follow the instructions included in your wristband package.

What can’t I bring to, or do, at BUKU?

You and your belongings will be searched upon entry to the festival grounds via walk-through metal detectors and/or hand wand metal detection, and all patrons are subject to re-search while on festival property at the discretion of security and law enforcement. Please be prepared for an AIRPORT-STYLE security screening upon your entry to the festival. Any item confiscated or voluntarily surrendered WILL NOT be held or returned.

Seriously, please respect the festival and your fellow fans! If you violate any of these guidelines, we have the right to refuse entry or kick you out without refund, take your bad stuff from you, and call your mother! The festival security screening is required for EVERYONE’S SAFETY!

Am I allowed to bring an empty water bottle or Camelbak?

Yes! And we’ll have free water stations for you to fill those suckers up. You are allowed ONE (1) EMPTY Camelbak, Nalgene, Water Bottle, or Klean Kanteen (must be empty upon arrival at the gate).

I have special dietary/medical needs. Will my special items be allowed in?

Outside food and drink is not allowed at BUKU, but if a patron has special medical dietary restrictions, items will be allowed if accompanied by a doctor’s note. You will be asked to present your doctor’s note to security upon entry to the festival.

A patron requiring insulin is allowed to bring his or her medically necessary materials and medications provided all medicine has a prescription label with the patron’s name. Feel free to head over to the main medical tent at any time for assistance with storing your medical materials.

What’s the deal with water?

Please please please hydrate! Water will be sold at all full-serve bars throughout the site. We will also have a few free water filling stations provided inside the venue. Remember you are permitted one (1) EMPTY CamelBak, Nalgene, water bottle, or Klean Kanteen upon arrival.

What is the closest airport?

(MSY) Louis Armstrong New Orleans is the closest airport to fly into if you’re travelling from across the BUKU nation!

Will there be parking and how much?

Yes! There will be parking lots open for BUKU attendees with limited spots available on a first-come, first-served basis. These lots are the property and sole responsibility of, and will be controlled and staffed by, the New Orleans Convention Center. Team BUKU is not responsible for anything that goes on out there, but please play nice and don’t tailgate.

Will there be camping at the festival?

No, dude, this is New Orleans! Mardi Gras World is minutes away from the French Quarter and downtown so there are plenty of hotels within walking distance. More information regarding our hotel packages will be posted soon!

Will there be food at BUKU?

Hell yeah! We work hard to make sure the food sold at BUKU is unique and different than your usual festival fair. Come hungry and check back soon for more info on vendors and food options!

What should I know about Booze?

Of course, you MUST be 21+ to drink. There will be a maximum limit of two (2) drinks per person per order. Please drink responsibly. Do not drink and drive. Do not buy a drink for anyone under 21. You will not be served if you are under 21, don’t have a photo ID proving you are at least 21, and/or are intoxicated.

What’s the ATM situation like?

There will be ATMs on-site, both near the box office and inside the festival.

Who do I contact for Lost & Found items?

If you lost something at the festival, please email a detailed description of your lost item(s) to info@bukutransfer.wpengine.com and we can assist you further.

Do you have Info, Medical and First Aid Stations on-site?

Of course! We make every effort to create a safe environment at the festival. To ensure this, we have security and medical staff working throughout the grounds, as well as several clearly marked medical tents and an information booth located in short walking distance to every stage. If you’re experiencing any problems whatsoever, please locate a festival staff member, security guard, or police officer.

If you or someone you know needs medical assistance, seek out one of our medical tents. You can refer to the Festival Map for exact locations of medical tents scattered throughout the site.

Are you hiring volunteers to work at BUKU?

We have not yet opened our application to become a volunteer for BUKU 2018. Check back again for more info!

What ticket options are currently available?

A limited amount of General Admission and GA Plus 2-Day – Tier 1 Passes are on-sale NOW. VIP and Travel Packages will be available at a later time.

Will I be able to purchase a single day ticket?

Single day passes may or may not become available as we get closer to the festival.

Are payment plans available?

Yes! BUKU offers payment plans for all ticket types. By selecting “EZ Pay” at checkout you will be able to split your purchase into 3 easy payments. Please note an additional $9 Payment Plan Processing Fee will be charged on top of standard service fees.

Our BUKU Music + Art Project Payment Plan allows the customer the flexibility to pay for their order via the installment payment plan. The ticket purchaser that utilizes the payment plan (“Purchaser”) agrees that their credit card will be charged in installments (“Installments”) once a month for a maximum of 3 months (including initial payment) until their order is paid in full. The number of payments will be proportionate with the number of months remaining in the payment terms. For BUKU that term runs from October 11, 2017 – February 16, 2018. The Purchaser will receive an email confirmation each time their credit card is charged. At the time the final payment is made, their order will be available for shipment. The Purchaser further understands that they can, at any time, pay for the order in full. The date of the month that the payment is made is equal to the day of the month in which the initial deposit was made. Please note that there is a $9 additional processing fee for the payment plan option. If a payment is not made in full within 10 days after the initial charge, your order WILL BE CANCELLED, and we will refund all money you have paid less a cancellation charge of $50 and less the $9 payment plan processing fee.

What are the 3D Commemorative Magnets?

Collectible BUKU 3D Magnets (featuring the iconic BUKU ‘moon-eye’) are available as an add-on to your ticket for an additional $12, and will be shipped in the mail with your wristband(s) in advance of the festival.

Can I buy a ticket at the gate?

It is very likely that BUKU will be sold out before the days of the festival. We encourage all fans to purchase their tickets now!

When will I get my BUKU Wristband?

Please allow to the beginning of March 2018 for your wristband(s) to arrive. If purchasing from outside the US or Canada, wristbands will be held at will call at the festival box office.

How does my wristband work?

Attached to each wristband is an encrypted RFID chip that acts as your ticket. Upon arrival to the festival, patrons will be required to scan their wristband against an RFID scanning device to validate entry. You will be required to register your wristband before entering the festival. This will activate the RFID chip and associate personal information with it.

How do I register my wristband?

Upon receiving the wristband, it is mandatory that you register it via the instructions listed in your package. You can also find information on registering your wristband(s) here.

My wristband just came in the mail! It looks awesome! Can I put it on NOW?

NO! Please do not put your wristband on until you’re ready to enter the festival! You may damage it or become uncomfortable.

Can I upgrade my passes to VIP or TOO BUKU VIP?

Sure thing! You are able to upgrade your pass once VIP packages become available. Please contact Festival Ticketing Purchase Support at 855-427-1943 to inquire about upgrading from General Admission to VIP or TOO BUKU VIP Pass.

Oh no! I lost my wristband, what to do?!

Treat your wristband like a precious heirloom passed down from you great-great-great grandmother – lost, stolen, tampered with and/or confiscated wristbands will not be replaced, they’re irreplaceable…

What is your Wristband Policy?

  • Wristbands MUST be worn for entry into the Festival and at all times during the Festival (including the time in between the first and second day). Please don’t remove, stretch or tamper with your wristband in any way or you will not be allowed entry (and we’ll be BUKU sad).
  • All wristbands will be mailed. No hard tickets or Print Pass options will be available.
  • All sales are FINAL – no refunds and no exchanges.
  • Only wristbands purchased through us are valid. If you purchased from an unauthorized source and/or the ticket is counterfeit, you will not be allowed entry.
  • Wristbands MUST be worn securely on wrist and cannot be slipped on and off.
  • Do NOT remove, stretch or tamper with your wristband in any way or you will not be allowed entry.
  • Subsequent and/or multiple presentations of a counterfeited wristband are VOID and will be seized by Festival security staff.
  • If your wristband is removed by Festival security/event staff for any reason, it WILL NOT be replaced.
  • All passholders must pass through security and are subject to bag inspection. Prohibited items will be confiscated by event staff.
  • Wristbands are NON-TRANSFERABLE, NON-EXCHANGEABLE and NON-REPLACEABLE.

How do I log in to my ticketing account?

Please follow these instructions in order to log into your account:
– Click the “My Account” link at the top of the page.
– Enter your username and password and click “Log In”.

How do I make changes to my order?

Once your order has been placed, you cannot go back into your account and edit it. If you have any questions or concerns regarding your order, please call Festival Ticketing Purchase Support at 855-427-1943.

What happens if I do not receive my wristband(s)?

If you do not receive your wristband in the mail or lose your wristband, please call Festival Ticketing Purchase Support at 855-427-1943. Orders that are unable to be delivered or shipped will be required to be picked up at will call by the original purchaser.

How can I update my shipping address?

After I purchased my order I noticed that my card has been billed $1.00?

This “Authorization” is a temporary charge to your account to establish if the account is valid and contains sufficient funds for your purchase order. This $1.00 charge “falls off” your account and is NOT an extra fee.

I purchased my ticket but when I try to Log In to My Account, it won't let me in?

In most cases such as this, it is likely you haven’t received your order confirmation. One reason may be the email address was entered incorrectly during initial account setup. To resolve, please call Festival Ticketing Purchase Support at 855-427-1943 to confirm the email address on file for your account is correct.

I'm not sure if an order I placed processed? I'm afraid there might be duplicate orders?

There is a simple way to know if you have placed an order; if you have gotten an “order number” or your browser directed you to an order confirmation page, then you have placed an order that has gone through. If you are still not sure, please call Festival Ticketing Purchase Support at 855-427-1943 and they will be able to verify this for you.

I did not receive my package. Can I have my order reshipped?

No, orders will not be re-shipped or shipped twice under any circumstances. If you do not receive your wristbands by the week of the festival, please call Festival Ticketing Purchase Support at 855-427-1943 to have your order reissued to will call. Please note the original purchaser must pick up passes at will call.
